How we started

The International Academy of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (IAFCS) was founded to address a critical gap in cosmetic surgery training. We saw that regular medical courses did not teach the small details and skills needed for this special kind of work. One misconception states that residency in either Plastic Surgery or Dermatology qualifies a practitioner to practice in Cosmetic Surgery and Facial Aesthetics. True proficiency in cosmetic procedures actually requires specialised education and training in consultation, evaluation, and advanced surgical techniques. This is one of the critical motivational factors behind IAFCS.

Things get even worse in almost all developing nations where medical tourism is flourishing and the demand for cutting-edge cosmetic and non-surgical procedures is escalating. However, the existing training systems do not match the international standards for accreditation, compliance and curriculum structure from these countries. Irrespective of specialism, whether plastic surgery, dermatology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oculoplastic surgery, or facial plastic surgery, there is an urgent requirement for standardised and quality training programs. The IAFCS sets out to bridge this gap by setting global benchmarks for the qualification in cosmetic surgery education.

So, we created IAFCS to offer hands-on learning and practical courses. We teach doctors how to do cosmetic procedures safely and skillfully. Today, people from all over the world come to learn with us. We are proud to help improve beauty and confidence through expert training and care.
